UT muslims holds its first trip and this time we travelled to Den Haag, Delft and Rotterdam We took the morning train at 8.46 from Enschede central station and the journey took almost two and a half hours. Nevertheless it was a safe and pleasant journey and a good opportunity to get to know one another better. Alhamdulilah, the participants of this years trip is not only from the board as this helps us to reach out to the muslim community of Twente. As we arrived in Delft, we explored the city and then we went to TU Delft. There, the Indonesian Students Association of Delft is holding a huge cultural event, thus it was a good opporunity for us to get some halal lunch. The next stop was Rotterdam, and this time we got to see the famous Erasmus bridge. The weather was quite gloomy and it was windy. It was getting dark as the sun sets and our next stop was the famous Rotterdam Central Mosque. We prayed Maghrib and Isha. Then we went to Den Haag and had dinner. Afterwards, we went to the place to stay in Den Haag which was booked through airbnb. It was a pleasant 4 story house with multiple rooms. Before we slept, we had a short lecture about Qadr. The next morning, we got up quite early and prayed qiyam and fajr. We did some morning dhikr together and then had some breakfast. Afterwards, we did some exercise and took showers before packing up. Just as we were about to leave, the owner of the house, Adam and his two daughters came along. Thus we were able to introduce ourselves Finally it was time to explore Den Haag and we first went to the beach as it was relatively near from where we were staying. The wind was quite strong and the weather was chilly. We had some snacks as well to relax. Our Next stop is Binnenhof, it is a complex of buildings in the city centre of The Hague, next to the Hofvijver lake. It houses the meeting place of both houses of the States General of the Netherlands, as well as the Ministry of General Affairs and the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. We then went to the Turkish mosque to pray Dzuhur and 'Asr and had lunch in a fish restaurant. We have reached the end of our trip and it was time to head back to Enschede. UT muslims would like to thank all the participants and we hope that you all had a great time together. Until we meet again! Check out the photo gallery for more pictures!
